Two results in case you missed them

From Saturday:

1) Voorhees 35, Watchung Hills 32
Voorhees: Shawnee Bernstein (five steals), Noelle Polhemus (12 points and seven rebounds), Melanie Ferdinand (eight points and six steals)
Watchung Hills: Stephanie Lupo 11 points, Michelle Peterpaul 10 points

2) Warren Hills 42, Delaware Valley 38

3) Hunterdon Central 45, Morristown 30

The first result is interesting if for no other reason than it perplexes me.
Hunterdon Central, Watchung Hills, Montgomery and Voorhees should have a four-team tournament in the middle of January just so that I can make sense of their comparative scores. We can call it the Dunleavy Needs Help Tournament.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, here is why I find my rankings difficult to make:

-- Voorhees beat Watchung Hills but lost to Montgomery
-- Montgomery beat Voorhees but lost to Watchung Hills
-- Hunterdon Central lost to Watchung Hills
-- Watchung Hills beat Montgomery but lost to Voorhees
** Voorhees plays host to Central tonight and I will be in attendance. If you think I'm going to make a predicition, guess again.

Wasn't Watchung Hills without it's leading scorer for the Voorhees game? I think that could explain a loss by 3 points.

Voorhees is very overrated this year. Montgomery is good, but not on par with Watchung or HC. If Watchung were healthier this year, they'd beat any of the 3 teams easily. Just my opinion.

Leprechaun huh? You looked taller then that at last nights game. :-)

Central is clearly the class of the Skylands Conf this year, and the top team in the area, you got that part right.

After that, Rutgers Prep.

These next 3 will swap places for the rest of the year. Watchung Hills, Voorhees(not overrated, not even in your pre-season Top Ten) and Montgomery.

Somerville, Belvidere and Gill(need to stay healthy) could make some noise before all is said and done, possibly sneaking into their respective county finals.

The rest are not quite there yet but these 5 are the closest; North Hunterdon, Franklin, Hillsboro, Bridgewater and PBurg.

Gosh, how far has 'Latta fallen?

Voorhees is deffinitly not overrated, if anything their not given enough credit. Losing 6 seniors to graduation and their point guard to another sport its together to bounce back from. Plus only one returning starter and only two players with very little varsity experience. If you compare their schedule to north hunterdon and even central they are faced with tougher teams right off the bat. Yes i say central is the team to beat but do not under estimate voorhees.
